I was legitimately shocked when I found out the ES (until this newest generation) was based on the Camry rather than the Avalon. I tried real hard to avoid telling customers that when I sold them.

I just looked through all six generations of ES, and I think 4th to 5th gen is the only time they ever actually made the car better looking.

I don’t think there’s anyone who would deny it. I mean, there are people who still insist that the earth is a disc and not a sphere, and they would unquestionably agree that the ‘02 is horrid in comparison to the’ 01.
